    Surpassed 90 days

My initial interview was more than 90 days ago. Never received initial approval or denial. Anyone else have this problem?

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

Who did you apply to and did you contact them asking about the status of your application?

      Penal Code 26205
The licensing authority shall give written notice to the applicant indicating if the license under this article is approved or denied. The licensing authority shall give this notice within 90 days of the initial application for a new license or a license renewal, or 30 days after receipt of the applicant's criminal background check from the Department of Justice, whichever is later. If the license is denied, the notice shall state which requirement was not satisfied.

Im close to or over 100 days. Supposedly the hold up is with the Livescan. I really hope I get an email any day to come pick up my permit.

OCSD has 90 days from initial interview until authorization to proceed to LiveScan by statute. OCSD has essentially done their job if they did that within 90 days. LiveScan is out of their hands and can take 30+ days for approval.

The 30 doesn't start until you do the livescan
I very seriously doubt the livescan is taking more than 10 days, in most cases they get the digital response in a few days even

Haven't contacted them yet, the 90 day mark was this past weekend.

I have not received approval to even proceed to livescan. My step was my interview in early April.

Then they're not following the law. See www.calgunsfoundation.org/carry.

Is the Live Scan and the criminal background check from the Department of Justice two separate processes?

When I did my Live Scan I called the automated number and checked my status with the ATI number on my receipt and found that it was processed and completed the same day of my scan.

POLITELY contact Melissa or Yolanda. Explain that it's beyond 90 days and if they could please explain what the problem might be.

I'm almost in the same boat as you. I'm at day 77 with no initial approval (or denial for that matter) to proceed to livescan from OCSD. I'm very curious as to what happens in your case since you're already over the statutory 90 days. I'm not really sure what recourse we have.
