No legal restrictions and I sincerely doubt a gun store is going to post a sign stating you can't carry a firearm. You are their target customer and they are likely happy to have you carry. -
all the gun stores I have been to have a sign that states CCW permit holders remain concealed..Comment

There are a couple in Sacramento area that have a no concealed gun sign at the front door. Needless to say I have never gone their since. Wild Sports on Greenback is one of them. But then they have always been rude and sucked anyways.Comment

There is a gun store in Vacaville that requests if you are carrying concealed and you are no law enforcement to please declare your status. Not sure why but they are very friendly, polite and appreciative when you do as requested. After having been in there a few times, they know me and know I am carrying and it's all cool.Comment

It seems you are fairly new to CCW. Here is a good thread on the places that you can legally carry firearms.
And just remember. Concealed means concealed.sigpic SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUMComment

Don't know why a store would want you to declare if you're carrying.
Seems like every other gun law/regulation/policy .. it only impacts the good guys carrying legally. Bad guys are NOT going to say they are illegally carrying a gun. So, what possible benefit could it be?Comment

If I see one that isn't declared, I can assume bad guy?
Hey just asking.
I'm not saying I agree, I just understand.Comment

I appreciate the guys at Last Stand Tactical in Sacramento. Their sign says that legal concealed carry is welcomed there. I saw some young buck there squat down to go through a bin placed on the floor. His shirt rode up and his M&P was in plain sight. I gestured to the salesman to look and he whispered, "CCW". I figured as such, but my first thought was, "I wonder how he likes his M&P." Still, it was a rookie move because form fitting shirts don't conceal well especially if they don't extend much beyond the waistline."Now why doesn't somebody take out a .45 and BANG... settle it?" - Mr. LeeComment

That's a good reason to avoid that store, not to mention they are extremely rude!Comment
