I work the USS Midway too, in the same field as Team Ball's Out. If you have just a regular CCW and your not LE active or retired without proper ID, weapon is not coming on the ship period. End of story.

Many years ago i carried on Air Force One (Reagan library version). Not sure of legality, but it was fun, felt like the American thing to do.

Pity. I know they do as told.

            Others disagree. (https://www.midway.org/about/about-the-uss-midway).
On April 11, 1992, Midway was decommissioned in San Diego and sat silently in the ghost fleet at the Naval Inactive Ship Maintenance Facility at Bremerton, Washington until 2003 when it was donated to the 501(c)3 nonprofit San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum organization.

                Same. So much FUD here.

ATF Form 4473: If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver, not a handgun or long gun.

Likely depends on who is admitting you.
                  Some notice some don't
                  Some care some don't

Metal detector doesn't detect 100% of the time.?

OP said they just eyeballed his pockets

                  ????

Everyplace in CA now has metal detectors?

That is good to know. I went with my family about 2 years ago and as we approched the ticket gate I noticed the metal detectors. I told my wife I needed to go put my gun in the safe in my truck.

Since this has been resurrected…..the policy is still that you would deny entry to fully-vetted CCw holders, but allow active PD like Chris Dorner aboard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ...gs_and_manhunt

The MIDWAY is NOT state property, federally owned.

Sounds about right. Just like Alameda County ignores the findings of the psychology review to not hire a guy as a deputy sheriff, hires him anyway and he murders his lover and her husband in a break-in, yet they require CCW applicants to pass a psychological exam. 🤨
The only thing that is worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.
