    Ch4ck ? Ch33se.
has a sign posted, that claims it is trespassing, if armed.
I'll have to take a picture next time
but, usually, with the crowd blocking view and such
i dont see the sign, so i'm not sure if its only there on special occassions or what.
anyways, does that make it a trespassing charge

Isn't it illegal to take a firearm in any establishment that serves alcohol?

          No.

Possible that an issuing agency might put that restriction on the license, though.

Don't you worry that someone with the desire to make life difficult for you might see you at a restaurant or anywhere around town and decide to exploit the knowledge that you are probably armed?
I'm proud of being a supporter of the bill of rights, and, well, I'm armed if someone is really crazy. You can't lead from the back.

What I'm talking about - and what would really bother me if I were in Gene's position, would be the thought that any jerk would recognize me at a restaurant and decide to call the police and say they think they saw a gun/saw me printing, etc., etc. That call, even anonymously placed would sure get the cops there in a hurry... especially in a place like the bay area.

I can imagine some anti's/trolls being upset enough just being in Gene's presence to do this. I'm not questioning Gene's leadership on gun issues. I'm just notifying him of an exposed flank!

Thanks for all the input. Odly enough the friend that was telling me the CCW got you out the door with your firearm has recently moved back form AZ... poor guy is chomping the the CA gun law bit. I think I will pursue he CCW as I like to camp and hike and would love to have my 1911 in my day pack. Lions, tigers, and nut jobs oh my. As to Gene, Three cheers to a man willing to donate his time and lead from up front, I'm sure he has factored his action and is prepared.

I am not shy about going about my life legally. I'd enjoy walking back on such a call and applying pressure to have a false police report prosecuted.

I'm pretty hard to mess with and would kind of enjoy the attempt. Not everyone has the latitude I have and as such I need to exercise it.
