    I got that impression too.

I got the impression the material isn't standardized either. Only the HOURS REQURIED is standardized. So the vendor just makes 16 hours of "content" with questions based on their content.

Folks.......... just jump through the hoops. This accessibility to CCW's is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling as time progresses there will have to be more uniformity among issuing agencies. I see a legal problem coming up with standards being too high for one agency relative to another agency in the state.

The state will always want to make sure it controls the standard. The state had all the time in the world to allow CCW's and design a process they could have had more control over decades ago, and now we are in this fiasco.

Yep. See my previous post https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...16&postcount=9. Even when instructors teach the same subject, their approach and specific content will vary. Think about two HS math teachers teaching the same class. Everyone wants Teacher A because Teacher B is horrible--even though they're using the same book.

This can vary too. Utah prescribes a specific course of material that must be taught. AZ simply states that a "class" must be taught by an NRA instructor and safety be a component of the class. No mention of content or even length.

I'd love a class or a history of case law examination of CA defense trials.
