Maybe your EDC should include a Pooper Scooper.

what the f are the cops gonna do? they don't even do actual police work. you are legally allowed to carry in all of california (minus the specific areas you arent allowed to)

one of the main reasons i got my permit was for when i go to SF/oakland because of how disgusting it is.

I've yet to find anyone who was ever cited for this city ordinance. Nearly everyone I knew as SFPD has retired, but to a one they all said they had much better things to do than enforce any city ordinance.
I personally would carry whatever ammo I please. I wouldn't have a worry in the world, but that's me.

I believe "packing" means something else there.

I've carried in SF plenty of times while holding a valid California CCW. Concealed is concealed.

Once upon a time I was a Deputy Attorney General and my office was on the 13th floor of the state building on Golden Gate in SF.
I carried daily. The Kamala Harris regime did not have a policy addressing concealed carry by DAGs. I never asked, and concealed is concealed.
Penal code section 171b used to have an exemption for CCW in government buildings and courthouses - I took full advantage of the exception to carry in court.

I carry in SF all the time. Stop overthinking it.

This is FUD. Read the ordinance. JHP is not banned. Someone above mentioned the ammo that?s restricted, but it?s definitely not all JHP.

OMG! You are right! Thank you for the correction! [emoji106]

Schools. While CCW allows differing, relaxed restrictions, be aware there is some kind of school campus, public or private college, on nearly every block.

Last drive through The City was a week ago. The proliferation of the Academy of Arts in random buildings throughout San Francisco was amazing.

you are 10 times more likely to use pepper spray or maybe 100 times more likely than your CCW....

OP, it's quite rare seeing cops in San Francisco so I'm always ready!

Probably the only things they're allowed to enforce these days are gun laws and homophobic sentiments.

                            SF Ordinance on Hollowpoints.

You CCW is valid in every city and county in this state. If you look worried, you will attract attention, so do not worry.

They are not pre-K or K-12, so the SB2 provisions regarding streets/sidewalks abutting do not apply.

You have nothing to worry about. As for "sensitive space" - no one is enforcing it. Hell, I'd be surprised if half these cops knew the law verbatim/knew that CCWs were being issued in the city.

As long as you don't act suspicious, reach for your holster/firearm whenever you walk past LEO, or do anything stupid (speeding, run a red light, etc.) - the cops in the city literally have bigger fish to fry. We're talking about a city where people get away with murder and theft daily.

Take it from a resident that carries in the city everyday...
