I carry a Glock 17 everyday. Carry it in an IWB holster. Never had an issue. Sometimes I touch my side to see if I have my pistol on me. I am 5' 8" 185 lbs.

OP, You mentioned that your Shield isn't in rotation because of lower capacity. MagGuts can bump it up a little bit to 9+1 and 10+1 for the stock 7 and 8 round mags. They can be a pain to install sometimes, but once in correctly I have had no problems with them. I have shot a lot of rounds through them with no issues.

                My criteria is as follows.
What I can shoot accurately , reliabilty,
                capacity.

                and then concealability.

                Having said that
                Kimper Pro Carry II
                Sig 365xl
                Rds equipped G19.

At 5 yds, I keyhole the Kimber 2 to 3 out of 8, with a fist sized pattern.

The 365 about the same, and I can easily pocket carry it.

The G19, I work at like it a friggin I ob!

                    Shield 9

                    Apex Carry/Duty kit

                    Magguts mag kit (10+1)

Shield RMSc on a S&W factory optics ready slide (can't see the front sight if I lose my glasses...dot is perfectly visible)

                    Heinie Straight 8 night sights

The thing just runs and shoots ridiculously straight for me...not even looking for a replacement.

I don't have it, but I think stainless Sig p232 would be perfect. Best looking ever. As for shootability, well, who cares. If we can shoot airweight 38spl, sig p232 should be a breeze.

I've always been uncomfortable messing with mags, for fear it leads to a feeding issue. But I'll look into the MagGuts, I know they have a pretty solid reputation. Thanks!

Out of all the hand guns I have I consider my Glock 26 the best...
But I can shoot my 17,19 and 42 just as well...
Practice enough and any gun can make a good carry....
I don't carry my 19 because most of the time I don't wear shirts that conceals it good enough for my liking
