Best CCW gun in your OPINION

Starting a thread on best options for ccw pistols. I'd love if everyone gave their opinion on what they think is the best and why. Remember, it's based on your opinion, so there are no wrong answers. This is your chance to brag on your ccw choice and why you think it's the best. I hope it is also helpful to those new to CCW and they might see a CCW pistol option they hadn't considered before.

    So here's my two cents:

I have 3 ccw pistols, P365 Spectre Comp, Shield 9 with Apex trigger, and a Canik MC9. Because of the magazine capacity of 7 or 8 +1, the Shield gets no time in the rotation. So for me it is between the Sig and the Canik.

I'm a huge Sig fan, and love the modularity which I'm sure is why it's so popular.

Sig Pros: modularity, aftermarket support, looks badass, magazine capacity and the grip with beavertail fits perfectly in my hand.
Sig Cons: trigger is just a little squishy, price ($1300 retail, $2k CalGuns)

After shooting the Canik for a while, I've gotta say it's an incredible little gun. Out of the box, the trigger is amazing.. it feels like the Apex trigger on my Shield.

Canik Pros: Amazing trigger, very accurate (for me), not at all snappy due to heavier slide, comes with 12 and 15 round mags (blocked of course), and number one PRICE ($400 retail, seeing about $1k CalGuns).
Canik Cons: Not much aftermarket support, bore axis is just a little high/grip beavertail doesn't allow me to get as high of a purchase compared to P365.

All in all both great guns, and I carry my Sig pretty much everyday, but I really enjoy shooting the Canik.

I watched this video from one of my favorite GunTubers, Honest Outlaw, which got me thinking about this topic..

The best gun for CCW is what fits you... What you can comfortably conceal and in a caliber that you can perform to acceptable standards (I dont even consider CCW standards a "standard")... For some it can be a G43... While others can be a full-sized 1911...

          ^^^ This!!!

          That being said, I alternate between a G19 and a G43X.

Absolutely, the best ccw is what you handle, shoot, and feel most comfortable with! Just curious about others opinions.

                GLOCK Gen 3:
                G-42: .380; 8 rd mag
                G-19: 9mm; 15 rd mag
                G-29: 10 mm; 10 rd mag

                Different sizes for different dress;
Different calibers for different environment (the first 2 don?t go into the forest or on trails with me.)

Identical manual of arms; identical sight pictures; close to identical triggers.

I shoot each well and qualify with them during the same session - transition is simple.

When the SHTF, the best gun is the one you have with you.

                  Dependent on threat level.
Going out locally - 38+P S&W J Frame in pocket
Going to the big city - Glock 19 9mm w/orig 15 round mag
                  Going to the ghetto - Glock 30 45acp w/extra mag or 2

This thread stopped having meaning when "looks badass" became a CC firearm evaluation criteria. I suppose if one holds it horizontal it will scare off attackers.

I have about 7 listed but only have carried these:
                      G19
                      G26
                      LCP2
                      G21

My 19 has been my go to for quite some time. But 26 gets some time out too. LCP2 (trigger is much better than first production) for when I’m wearing gym clothes or need a quick pocket gun.

I’ve carried the 21 but it’s definitely noticeable that it’s there (weight-wise). I usually hike new trails with the two Glocks with a spare 17 mag or more familiar territory, I’ll take the LCP.

If I am going to my sister's for a BBQ or something, I might carry something fun like my 686 or a snazzy 1911, but 99% of the time I just carry Glocks OP.

Same darn thing every single gun, pull it out and pull the trigger. Generally a gen 3 G19 I've owned forever. It's boring, it's ugly, sorta scuffed up... but I am aces with it. Sometimes a G43 or a G20 if I am in the woods. Got night sights on my carry guns, otherwise bone stock Glock.

Find what works for you, then stick with it and get good with it. Spend your time and money at the range, not on mods and gadgets. Just my 2 cents.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

I figured CCW is the category of better than a sharp stick.

So reliability is #1, then usability and accuracy in my hands #2, and finally concealability #3.

As part of usability, I'm age 50+. My eyes are worthless for iron sights without prescription glasses. So my carry will be a RDS configuration or augmented with a grip laser, because I don't known when I will need it, and my vision choices at that time might not be ideal.

Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I like my Sig p365 and p238 but the wife has the p238 most of the time now. Recently added a Sig m18 so as soon as my paperwork is done I'll see how often I can carry it. I shoot the m18 better than anything else I own.

Ultimate CCW; one that you can conceal, shoot well, has decent capacity,
penetrating ammo, reliable performance, you can trust your life with it.
