    Appendix carry question

Getting use to appendix. How many sizes do you go up in the waist usually?

2 sizes works for me. Plus make sure they are jeans thats stretch a little.

Most important part of any carry ensemble is a sturdy quality belt. U can have the best holster in the world but if ur belt is junk ur junk lol

I only had to go up one pant size for appendix or IWB at 4 o'clock. But I do wear relaxed fit (old man) jeans

One size up. And like others have said, a sturdy belt. I have Vedder's gun belt and I really like it.
        Good luck!

One size up here, sometimes zero sizes if the pants have a stretch waist. I am of relatively thin build.

            About 1 size.

Really depends on the gun (G21 vs P365)

            Good belt is key.

Much depends on how tight you wear your pants to begin with and how thick your carry rig is. But if you currently wear, say, a size 32, I can't imagine you would have to go beyond a 34. You're probably going to have to play with this a bit.

Same for pants with give. If you're new to appendix carry be sure GO SLOW when returning to the bucket, LOOK for obstructions before reinserting and tip the holster forward before full insertion "you don't want to shot your mushroom off". When drawing having your thumb over the rear of the slide, then moving to a forward thumb grip/swiping off the safety is a good technique. If you have limited movement with your thumb, inhaling to make space for your thumb, then forming a normal firing grip works well.

5'7'' slim build - same pants size for me. Tried sizing up and just didn't like how it fit. Look into jeans that have a stretch to them.

Depending on the brand, my wranglers for example zero sizing. Levi, one size up. P365 with Vedder holster. Also thin build.

I’m a 38”. 6’3” 250. Not a thin built dude. I Have one pair of 40” Cheap old navy shorts that are way bigger than every other 40” I wear… no idea how they measure but all of a sudden aiwb became way easier. So I gotta adjust my wardrobe now.

I have a few ratchet belts designed for carry. Like being able to move the rig around and tighten or losen belt easily

I have to use a couple different belts due to work so I loop it so the buckle is at the 10/11 o’clock position. Makes it a tad bit better to clip/conceal.
