[Solved] Looking for Post by CCW Holder Involved in Hostage Situation

Good evening all, I'm hoping you can help jog my memory/find a post on Calguns.

I read a post maybe 2 years ago where the author details what happened in a hostage situation that took place at a gun range in the bay area (neighboring San Fransisco(?).

I tried searching through Paladin's post of "Examples of Conceled Carry Saving Lives" with no luck. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=858390

    The details I recall are:
LTC had a Glock 20 or a Glock 21 and is one of the few folks that still has a San Francisco CCW.

The event took place at a gun range - the perpetrator was the last patron of the day and used an AR-15 (?) to take 3 gun range employees hostage.

The three hostages included the LTC, an employee open carrying, and someone else.

I believe the shooter survived despite his wounds.

The username might have something related to a team in the NFL.

I've tried my best at searching with Google and the fourm's search function with no luck.

It's been racking my brain as I remembered it when someone mentioned the Glock 20 in a conversation.

    Hope you're still with me!

    Thanks in advance!

Advanced search. Limit the results based upon the time frame to help filter content
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

I believe what you're looking for happened at Reeds, in Santa Clara, CA.

Thanks for the advanced search suggestion - I wasn't sure about the time frame though.

You got it, thanks! It's been bugging me for several days now.

OP was QuarterBoreGunner. I guess that's a football team(ish) name

I got the caliber wrong too....and other details.

Looks like some of the original post I read appears in the thread above (and another forum).

Thanks for your help. It's greatly appreciated!

Hey, I remember reading this great thread from QuarterBoreGunner years and years ago about the hostage situation at the gun range but now I can't find it. Did the threads get migrated or something? Links to it don't work anymore. Anyone have the new url for that old thread?
            Thanks

This might be the event, not the thread, way back when Reed's was the National Shooting Club...
