That does not make the action legal. Look, my guess is you dislike it when leftists ignore the law and do what they want. The law is the law. If and when the Democrats in Sacramento realize that "good cause" is being ignored, they have the votes and a willing governor to spell out something specific that prohibits counties from doing that.

2 things I will submit:That does not make the action legal. Look, my guess is you dislike it when leftists ignore the law and do what they want. The law is the law. If and when the Democrats in Sacramento realize that "good cause" is being ignored, they have the votes and a willing governor to spell out something specific that prohibits counties from doing that.
1) The Democrats in Sacramento already know this is going on. There have literally been several articles about Scott Jones' policies in the Sacramento media.
2) Good Cause is not being ignored. That is the position of the sheriffs in these counties. They are saying that personal protection IS the good cause.
Currently, the law gives the county sheriffs latitude with what they accept as good moral character and good cause. There is literally nothing that says self-defense cannot be accepted as good cause in 26510 or in the Peruta decision.
Ultimately, We (I believe) have the same goal and that is to get as many good people as possible who can carry. I think we just disagree with the best course of action.sigpic

Riverside is NOT at 2-3 months. I know people that are in the process and the deputies that are working the CCW unit. It's 1 year minimum, if you are lucky. That number was going down but then they had a bunch of us that had to renew.
There is a new sheriff in Riverside. He has promised to improve the CCW situation. We will see.Comment

They should all model it after the city of Taft here in Kern County. Got mine approved in 7 days. No interview. Just class, application, 7 days, permit.Comment
