Everything is still being done by Dept. Pinder. Interview is an easy process, you don't need good cause to carry anymore. So yes if asked, personally safety is a good enough reason. Once you receive your license you can carry in any county in California.

@Nick I got you my guy..

      Applied 4/6/23
      Interview 6/1/23
      Approval for training 8/28/23
      8 Hour Training done 9/17/23
      Uploaded certificate 9/19/23
      Permit pick up 9/27/23

      $130 Application Fee
$210 New CCW 8 Hour Training
      $143 Final Payment Fee
      Total $483

Interview was yes/no answers. Listen carefully because he says you must be able to follow directions so I can trust you with a CCW. Something like that. Whole interview was 15 mins tops including the fingerprint and live scan. You will take a picture after the live scan but the picture that was used for my card was taken the day I picked up the permit. The waiting after the interview will make you think you did a crime you didn?t know about but it?s just a lot of applicants in solano county.

I would also continue to check the permitium site because my classmate said he never got an email. He checked the sight and it stated he was good train.

      Good luck!!

I was going to ask on Monday but I?m sure someone has already asked here ? If not no worries. Thanks in advance.

Anyone gotten their renewal lately? Submitted my renewal stuff over 60 days ago and still no dice. This is my 5th renewal, I don't think any other time took more than a month. Pinder must be slammed.

I applied last year in August and interviewed with Pinder over a year ago.

Mind you, I moved out of Solano County last December, and so informed Pinder.

I just got the following from Solano Co SO:

Congratulations! The second review of your application for a Concealed-Carry Weapon License is complete!

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:

To further process your application, please proceed as follows:

Schedule training course with one of the following approved training vendors - Click this link for the full list: https://www.solanocounty.com/civicax...x?blobid=37173 - Certification from any other vendor will NOT be accepted.

Please upload the ceritifacte via the Order Tracker (https://solanoso.permitium.com/order_tracker). You will need your order number (DAVWSIRNW), email address used during the application process (kirkweir@gmail.com), and the password you created during the application process.

You will receive notification when your permit is approved.

It took them A FULL YEAR to do the "second review".

Mind you, I've had a CA CCW for over 10 years - I move to Solano from Sac County - my background should have been a cakewalk.

Funny - I submitted my completed package here in Nevada County in mid- February and had my CCW in under 90 days.

The ID card given is much nicer than the previously issued laminate, and pick up was busy. All in all, about 7.5 months wait time here. Nice to reach the finish line though.
                Happy for you, BUT

                I applied 8//2/22
                interviewed 10/XX/22
                Go on training 10/16/23

I think I screwed myself. I had to be truthful, so I admitted to smoking weed in the last 2-3 months. I honestly didn?t know it was against the rules. Foolish mistake. Anyone ever given a timeframe of when they last smoked weed and still gotten approved?

Update: my application quickly got denied. I really don?t smoke weed much, I had just done it within the last few months and was just being honest about it. Obviously I?ve got to quit entirely to have a chance when I reapply. Do you think one full year without smoking weed would be sufficient enough?

                      Dobbs Firearm CCW Renewal Schedule

I have left several messages at Dobbs Firearms trying to find out what their Solano County CCW Renewal schedule will be for November and December and haven't received any responses. Any idea on what's going on. I have been calling (707) 430-0090 and leaving several messages.

@Nickmonico damn I?m sorry to hear bro. I believe I stated 1.5 to 2 years in my interview. Possibly wait until 1.5 year mark to reapply.

I?m having troubles finding it on the Solano County CCW website or maybe I?m just an idiot but can some one tell me will I be allowed to add my CA version of the P365 IF I swap out everything with the Macro conversion kit?

I know we can do things like get optic cuts to our OEM slide, use the Ramjet+Afterburner but not switch out the trigger. So I wasn?t too sure if we can convert to the Macro kit and carry it.

thank you in advance for all the comments and help.

I would just list it like you would any other firearm.

Hi Solano community. For those that have gone through the renewal process, what was the timeframe from when the qual certification was uploaded till the time you were notified to pick up the permit?

From others that I know in Sacramento, their renewal turnaround was fairly quick. I just wanted to make sure there are no hiccups in my process, etc.

As of right now, it has been 17 days in the status of “assigning to processor shortly”.

                              Thanks all!

It has been over 2 months for me and I'm still waiting for renewal.
