Curious if I still pay the old fees or gonna make me pay the new fees.
Just got the approval email and payment request, can confirm they only demand the $271.96 for our applications prior to the fee changes. Will see how long they take from payment to pick-up...

You renewed with SCCSO in September? You had a CCW in SCC prior to Bruen? If so, impressive!

The 3x personal references requirement for new CCW applicants is new as of 1 Jan 2024 per SB2 taking effect.

References are part of the interview process. Interview is optional for renewals. This is where the OC sheriff messed up. Someone in their department saw a post on here saying references arent on the renewal app so they decided to add it without having any understanding of the law.

    The renewal doesn't require references.

All working exactly as they intended.
    Oh I know.

Trying to speak it into existence I guess.

I just got an email from them as well. It says they will be reviewing SHORTLY. Not sure of their definition of shortly, but hopefully before the long weekend (like this afternoon).

Basically said the same thing. They will be reviewing the applications soon and will notify for approval and final payments.

if they gonna be increasing application prices at least get some more manpower to process these things...

Does anyone know if there was any public announcement or actual clarity on what the effective date was on these fee increases? The fee page on Permitium doesn't even say what date these were updated or took effect.

It was quite literally a stealth change out of the blue, from what I can gather.

(Doing the math, we're gonna go from approx $1051 out of pocket on the old fee schedule to upwards of $1369... that's over $300 increase!)

This has got to be criminal. From the SCCSO Permitium site: https://scso.permitium.com/ccw/start

Damn. I paid $66 on Day 1 and then 271.96 for the last payment. The new fees add an additional $324 for literally nothing.
