References are part of the interview process. Interview is optional for renewals. This is where the OC sheriff messed up. Someone in their department saw a post on here saying references arent on the renewal app so they decided to add it without having any understanding of the law.Leave a comment:

Has anyone needed to renew yet? Or knows if the 3 references that is now required is required for Renewals as well?Leave a comment:

That's sarcastic right? We all know that minimizing resources on this entire CCW bureaucracy is intentional. That's why SB2 added yet more layers of onerous requirements to the process. They want this to be as painful and as ostensibly intrusive as possible. The slower they do this, the more frustrated people get, and the less likely others will bother to apply.
All working exactly as they intended.
Trying to speak it into existence I guess.Leave a comment:

I just got an email from them as well. It says they will be reviewing SHORTLY. Not sure of their definition of shortly, but hopefully before the long weekend (like this afternoon).Leave a comment:

I completed my training with Saber on 12/30 and uploaded all the docs to Permitium on 1/2 (also emailed to SCSO). I called the sheriffs office on Tuesday, 1/9 and amazingly someone answered! She said the payment emails ?would be sent when they could get to them?. I asked when that might be and she said ?within a couple of days?. Nothing yet, maybe today 🤞
Basically said the same thing. They will be reviewing the applications soon and will notify for approval and final payments.
if they gonna be increasing application prices at least get some more manpower to process these things...Leave a comment:

I spoke to Daniel a couple days ago and he told me that I was "grandfathered in at the previous rates. I applied 2/23/23. Was approved for training on 12/19/23. He did not elaborate on what qualifies someone for "grandfathering". I suspect because the application was submitted, and fees were acknowledged, before the increase.
It was quite literally a stealth change out of the blue, from what I can gather.Leave a comment:

Anybody submitted their quals and training certificate to permitium since the new year and get confirmation for final payment fees yet?
Uploaded mine on the 3rd and even emailed them but no dice so far.
Curious if I still pay the old fees or gonna make me pay the new fees.Leave a comment:

Holy mother of *censored* -- has anyone contacted CRPA about this? I feel like this needs to be addressed.
(Doing the math, we're gonna go from approx $1051 out of pocket on the old fee schedule to upwards of $1369... that's over $300 increase!)
This has got to be criminal. From the SCCSO Permitium site: https://scso.permitium.com/ccw/start
