From what I've heard from Kevin, he is the best choice for 2A/CCW rights. In some of these interviews he seems to downplay it a bit though, while talking in person he is more open about his stance supporting 2A/CCW rights.

Frustrating as a voter, but it seems he may be trying not to be too open about his 2A support in larger forums as to not scare away some of the voter base.

Politics are irritating, but so far he gets my vote.

Please share what you’ve “heard” and heard from whom (i.e., your source).

What he says in a private conversation may be his more candid self or it may be BS to get your support/vote.

Jensen may in fact be “the best” (or “the least bad”).

Since Santa Clara County population doesn't seem to have "gelled" w/those that support 2A into a cohesive voice, its going nowhere. Want a candidate to stand up and shout they will drive a robust CCW program- they have to feel it will get (or lose) them a significant number of votes. I doubt we will see any of them do anything but tiptoe around the issue- until that turning opportunity reveals itself.

So Nagaye is anti-gun. No surprises there. How did the other candidates describe their potential CCW policies? We already know Kevin has committed to having a clear, transparent policy and actually processing applications on an individual basis, but what about the other candidates?

That’s a big nothing burger. All he’s saying is he’ll obey the law and actually issue CCWs according to his policy (unlike Smith). Is a sheriff’s candidate saying they’ll obey the law something to brag about??? But what is his policy? Why doesn’t he tell us it in specifics sufficient to determine whether we have sufficient GC or not??? Don’t fool yourselves: we know NOTHING about Jensen’s GC policy.

They didn't, at least not in their written statements- they all ignored the ask.

There was a very good turnout at least 100 attendees. 5 candidates 1 moderator 11 questions selected prior to the forum. No questions from the audience. Each candidate had 1-2 minutes to answer depending on the question. At the end there were tables for each candidate so people could talk to them.

I feel there are three candidates at the top, Kevin Jensen, Bob Jonson and Christine Nagaye. Sean Allen and Anh Colton do not appear to be strong candidates. If all candidate stay in the race and Kevin Jensen can get 40-50% of the vote, the three remaining will dilute their vote percentages and would not surpass Jensen. Just my thoughts. I think Jensen and Jonson are the top runners. Jonson has 27 years with L.A. County Sheriffs, 5 years as Menlo Park chief and 4 years as Palo Alto chief.

Christine Nagaye several times while answering questions made it a point to stress that she "is a life long progressive democrat" and also added at one point "and I am a gun control advocate". That was not well received by the audience. She did state that she wanted to establish an online application for CCW permits but when asked about what her good cause was she stumbled and could not commit to anything.

What??? She is a corrupt tyrant! She denied or inalienable God given rights. She profited off of bribes. You want her to chill on a beach? F that. I want her in jail for 20 years. Honestly, that is a light sentence for a tyrant who has abused her title.
