    I-view was actually Monday, but yes :-) LS tomorrow and 16 hr this Sat/Sun. Yep, I am super impressed with the Sheriff's office and have no complaints here!

    Well, basically what Dvrjon says below is dead on. They asked questions generally the same as the application questions, or the questions you answer when you purchase a gun, but with more detail. No stress, no "gotcha", just simple questions that anyone who has lived their own life can answer. No papers or documents were needed beyond what I had submitted electronically. Thanks for the well wishes....my fingers are crossed as well

    Had my interview this week....Sheriff's Office folks were cordial and nice, and very helpful in explaining the process and the questions they asked. Apparently the committee is meeting this week as well, so I may know the results soon.

    Agree with assessment of N&R...but they have survived for years, sometimes landing big stories.

    In this case, they are confirming the issue raised by Paladin in an earlier post regarding SSD rejection rates of 70%. While I believe in and support the individual right to keep and bear arms, one can only wonder what a pro-CCW sheriff was seeing on applications which caused him to clamp down.

    He's not up for re-election for 2 years, and he's tried to quit before, so it's not an election pressure issue.
