Just to clarify with her I stated "applications that were input in July, not received in July" and she said that was correct.

So it feels like I have another 3-4 month wait to even get a call to interview. This will put me at about a year to even get an interview.

If you are waiting for a call, base your timeframe on when your check was cashed(my money order was cashed beginning on Oct), not when you sent it in.
    Unfortunately, it makes sense.
Well, this gives me a chance to do more research on which holster I'm going to purchase.
    7/18/22 - Mailed Application
    10/14/22 - Money Order Cashed
2/6/24 - Call from CCW Unit to obtain email. Email received and documents sent
    3/20/24 - Interview by phone
5/15/24 - Received 'Proceed To Training' Email
    5/15/24 - Sent training documents
    8/13/24 - picked up CCW - FINALLY!!!

Why? That doesn?t make a lick of sense. If it?s your fault for missing a call I?d expect they?d gladly inform you of your error. What benefit do they have in calling you then telling you they didn?t? Maybe they?re too lazy/busy to confirm (person answering the CCW phone is definitely not the same person making the interview calls) but I don?t see them intentionally lying to you about something like this.

finally got a call for interview. i applied almost 2 years ago in 2021. like others said, there doesnt seem to be some sort of "first come, first serve" type mentality. I've read and hear people on this thread applying way later than me and they seemed to be getting their ccw faster than me.

completed my livescan and the deputy said expect to wait 2-3 more months before getting a response about approval for firearm training

I'm glad I saw this. Will prepare now.

Anybody also preparing live scan before knowing anything, as the website states?

Can someone respond to exactly what "agency billing number" is and is it important to include in livescan?

yes that is a long time.regarding the livescan, if you print it out from lasd website, it should be prefilled but check to make sure the correct info on the top portion is there. you will just be completing your info on center and when you pick the location to do your livescan, the facility will fill the bottom part out. you will need the ATI number to check your status

So here's a rough timeline of my CCW application.
Mind you, I submitted in April last year, so BEFORE the Bruen ruling.
                  -4/19 I submitted application.
                  -11/9 Got called with appointment.
? 11/30 Went to in person appointment.
                  -12/1 Submitted livescan.
-2/10 got an email saying I passed livescan and I needed to complete training.
-2/11 completed training and sent in certificate.
-3/20 got a call saying my CCW was ready to be picked up, but 5/4 is the soonest appointment.
                  -5/4 I get my CCW.
When she called the 20th and said may 4th was the soonest I said "wow, that many people picking up?
From now till may 4th?" And she said that yes, and each person has a 10min window. So 5 days a week, 7am to 5pm, every 10 min, someone is picking up an LASD CCW. That's not counting LAPD and other local PDs. She said they had over 10,000 pending.

interesting, I received my 2nd call 3/24 after missing the first one a few days prior. They scheduled me for the 2nd week of April.

That would be interesting if they had that many people booked for pick up though.

Finally got the call to schedule the interview, I was actually quite surprised that I was able to get an interview for next week.

They called from a private number, if anyone is wondering.

Besides bringing all the documents, what type of questions (or other things) should I be paying attention to when answering them during the interview?
