Sorry I mislead you. No interview yet. Firearms refers to the LiveScan Firearms. it took a month and a day while others were coming in at two weeks plus or minus. And that LiveScan is for my COE renewal, couldn’t delay it any longer.

Others have written earlier in this thread that the LASD will request their own LiveScan unfortunately. Of course, I will bring this LiveScan ATI number, if called to interview, just in case, but not hopeful.

Oh, okay. I am just helping my little brother and my best friend with the whole process. Their apps were delivered on April 9th and have not received any calls. They were excited by your thread. LOL

Do we have an update yet for the expected timeframe between livescan completion and training email?

There was one guy I recall who wasn’t told to proceed with a live scan after his interview but instead was told he would be informed of their decision in 4-6 weeks. He never updated whether he was indeed denied. He believed it had to do with something he did as a teen that got him denied.

I think if they tell you to do a livescan, the deputy interviewing you at least thinks you will get issued a permit in the end (unless they find some red flag of course).

And what's more, people who knew to apply in this first wave must have known to follow any changes in LASD policy pretty closely, that's how they knew to apply so fast. They also are more likely to have their GC and paperwork in order. So denials are going to be less likely than later on when word gets out more and lots of others are applying who may be less informed on this all.
