I just skimmed over the below linked pages and did not see any mention of an optional, much less mandatory, Psychological evaluation. Did Ahern drop that or is my memory mistaken?

As the state assembly is back in session and with their last promise to pass the CCW reform, I bet this is why no CCWs are being issued. Agencies are dragging their feet and looking for cover under new restrictions from the state.

Zero progress in the past week. Sunday summary of Alameda County CCW for those who applied after June 23rd:

• Number of CCWs issued: 0
• Furthest any CCW application has gotten: App->Interview->Livescan
• Next uncompleted CCW level: Background Check

Fingerprints and Livescan done! Less than 5 minutes start to finish. The techs are nice people.
