I'm going to start a Sunday tradition. It will consist of three statistics: the number of CCW permits issued since Bruen, and the furthest any application has gotten, and the next expected step. Please correct if wrong. I will read this board and update every Sunday until we get a 1 or more on the first stat.
    1. Number of CCWs issued in Alameda County since June 23, 2022: 0
    2. Furthest any CCW application has gotten: App->Interview->Livescan
    3. Next uncompleted CCW level: Background Check

I have not completed my Livescreen step, nor the background check, so I am unsure if stats 2 and 3 are correct, but stat 1 is correct I'm almost certain.

I’m happy for a change anyway. Clearly there are problems at ACSO.
I highly doubt there are "problems". They're purposefully dragging their feet and drawing out the process on purpose.

Whenever I've gone in for my interview or my fingerprints the place wasn't packed or lined up with applicants that were there for the same thing. It feels liek they are purposefully restricting the number of appointments each day to drag it out and probably done to discourage peopel from applying, or to frustrate and discourage those that have applied enough to give up during the process. They know what they're doing most likely, and could easily speed up the process. I had my Livescan and photo taken over a month ago and still haven't heard back about the next step(s).

Just over 5 weeks until Ahern can take up Bocce ball….

Then add 3-6 months for her to get around to revising the CCW policy….

Lucky man congrats, this is probably something I should have done but was weary on it all since I was hearing that many people were getting the fees they paid refunded back to them.

I had my CCW interview today. Applied 6/25 I could have scheduled this as early as Nov. 8, but I was traveling until this week. I asked the deputy what the time line was and was told maybe less than a year start to finish for me since I applied early. When I also asked how many applicants they had I was told “thousands”. I was also told that I did not need to take an outside class; the ACSO would provide a 4 hour class followed by the practical shooting test. Next step: finger printing and psych exam.

    Per the above:

    REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
    Regional Training Center
    6289 Madigan Road
    Dublin, CA 94568

When you get on site, easy enough to see the signs for the facility. Signage, including reserved parking for the sheriff will be visible

I am asking physically where that is located. The address for the place.
