Just had my Interview completed was exactly as described they went over my application and then signed it and told me one person makes the judgment to move forward.
In comparison to Oregon, last past week did a walk-in. They went over my application and CCW training and made a copy of my birth certificate and ID with a few pages of paperwork you can fill out there. They took my photo and payment gave me a receipt then took me to get a live scan upstairs. I was told they do not jump through hoops like California if you pass the background and health record check expect the permit in 1 to 5 weeks.
All that was done in 1-hour process had to wait for the livescan to clear up. Imagine that get a permit in 1-hour wait.Last edited by AWE; 09-16-2022, 2:41 PM.

Poorest county in Oregon. Not much to do there. So the Sheriff has a liberal CCW policy that is attractive to Californians. They only process CCW applications for the first few hours of the day. It forces you to spend the night before in one of their hotels and eat breakfast in a local diner. My gut tells me that the Sheriff is related to someone who owns one of those hotels.Comment

Did anyone get an email from psionline.com as part of their application process? An applicant called me saying they received an email from that company regarding their Alameda county CCW application. That seemed really odd to me and sounded like spam, but I wanted to check here to make sure. Thanks.SF Bay Area firearm training

Same here, it's been almost a month for me and I keep checking the status tracker and I am seeing the same thing as you, not even a follow up email or nothing

He's not issuing because to the best of my knowledge, no one is lighting a fire under his a**, not : CRPA, FPC, or NRA so he is essentially just laying back and not moving a single finger when it comes to making sure that applications are processed in a timely manner and thus issuing permits

Even Sheriff Plummer before Ahern was no-issue. It is time for those past 90 days to start the "writ mandate" legal process, see previous posts. I have not applied, otherwise that "writ" process sounds like the best plan forward. He's not issuing because to the best of my knowledge, no one is lighting a fire under his a**, not : CRPA, FPC, or NRA so he is essentially just laying back and not moving a single finger when it comes to making sure that applications are processed in a timely manner and thus issuing permits
