Sept. 1? Nah.. SCOTUS only gives government 25 days from ruling day to adjust and replace current unconstitutional rule. If there is no new law created after 25 days, counties haven't comply the new SCOTUS ruling will have no valid, constitutional rule/law for CCW. Meaning , you can CCW without license since no valid law tell you need a license for CCW. NY knows that so they makes new law in a week.

That's in the amended bill and this also caught my eye stripping you of rights when they declare a 2nd Pandemic. That's what the Big Guy said a few weeks ago.
(d) The Department of Justice may adopt emergency regulations for the purpose of implementing Sections 26150 to 26230, inclusive, and any statutory provisions referenced therein. The adoption of emergency regulations shall be deemed to be an emergency and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, or general welfare for purposes of Sections 11346.1 and 11349.6 of the Government Code. Emergency regulations adopted pursuant to this section shall be exempt from review by the Office of Administrative Law. The regulations adopted pursuant to this section shall not be repealed by the Office of Administrative Law and shall remain in effect until revised or repealed by the Department of Justice.Comment

Exactly. I for one have nothing but respect for rank and file police officers. Many of them (certainly not all) support our 2A rights. It’s the political brass (Ahern and his administration) that are the problem. I would have nothing to do with whoever put that video together that he/they certainly don’t represent me in my efforts to get a CCW in this county.Comment

The good thing is Ahern is out of office come January 2023sigpicComment

Does anyone know of any law firms planning to file a class-action suit against Alameda county? I have applied three times new, most recently earlier today and every time have had it kicked back and received an email from Permitium telling my application fee has been refunded. I noticed today that the section asking for you to explain your cause for wanting a CCW permit was removed from the application along with only allowing you to list one firearm instead of three are the only differences.
I am willing to join a lawsuit. This isn't right that they can just kick back your application and refund you.sigpicComment

I read the court's opinion and found California is going to have major problems. And the court will allow challenges.
Costs (License ($180-$210)+(Fingerprint($25-$60)+(Training ($100-$400)+(Psyc ($150-$200)
Not including ammo or fuel to travel = Exorbitant fees range from $455-$870.
Timeframe 60 to 360 days
(Page 30)
That said, because any permitting scheme can be put toward abusive ends, we do not rule out constitutional challenges to shall-issue regimes where, for example, lengthy wait times in processing license applications or exorbitant fees deny ordinary citizens their right to public carry.Comment

Does the application ask for names of references after the Step 1 page? If so, how many names do they want? I will have to think of people I can ask who are willing to have their names eventually made public (either intentionally by the state or by "accident").
I ordered a Glock 19 last week as a second CCW to my Glock 26 but I see that the form has just changed to now only allow one firearm. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain about now owning the official sidearm of the Navy Seals.
I'll keep monitoring this thread. I haven't applied yet but may do so if I think they really will keep our place in line.Comment
