WE have to make it happen, I am extremely committed to making it happen, I am following the elections very closely as should other Alameda county residents.

      So upon recently applying
Appointments are pretty available within 2 weeks

      This is what they require
Are they requesting a list of all my weapons or just the ones to carry

Please submit the following documents to supplement your application and establish your justification:
      Business permit(s)
      Article(s) of Partnership or Corporation

Given that both of the contending parties for the election here in Alameda county have not made it clear where they stand as far as CCW's go, I have sent an email to both, will report back what I find out.

Not many posts about Alameda County CCWs. Is anyone getting them? I've heard it's basically impossible which has deterred me for years, but I also hear some counties are being less crazy tight about so I'm here asking g if anyone here has actually been issued a CCW in Alameda County? I live in Oakland.

It's next to impossible if you are not a big time donator or own a business in the county, Ahern is not very generous when issuing CCW's as other sheriff in other counties are. The best thing to do is to vote in the upcoming elections on June 7th for a Pro 2A candidate who in turn is willing to issue CCW's for a "self defense" good cause that would turn this county dark green on the CCW map

Ahern is a RINO. Because of that he’s anti CCW. He’s got two challengers attacking him from the Left. AFAIK there are no pro CCW candidates.

If nothing changes by the candidates deadline for filing (March 11), the best thing you Alameda Co people can do for yourselves is support (volunteer and/or donate) Ben Therriault for CoCoCo sheriff. Why? Because getting CoCoCo to Dark Green will put more pressure on Alameda Co to flip. The fear mongering and other excuses won’t work in Alameda when there are no problems with it in CoCoCo. It’s like making dominoes fall: one helps knock down the next. Orange Co helped SD flip and they both helped flip LA. Therriault even uses the liberal GC policies of neighboring countries to support this change on his campaign website.

I intend as Sheriff to bring us into compliance with adjoining counties, (Sacramento, Solano, San Joaquin) that good cause and establishment for such cause is personal protection or self-defense.

This all applies to Santa Clara Co too but while there are suggestions Kevin Jensen is pro CCW he has not posted a strong pro liberal CCW statement on his campaign website yet.

I agree with everything you said, but yes we should wait to see if either Sanchez or Walker say their stance on 2A, something HAS to change for Alameda county this election, we are probably the county that needs it the most, it is DANGEROUS here.

You didn't need to be a CRPA member to attend previously (although it is highly encouraged), but it has been a while since I have attended, so that may have changed.

                      CRPA Chapter Program Overview

Since its inception in 1875, the California Rifle & Pistol Association has been at the forefront of education and firearm safety in California. With the advent of the Gun Control Act of 1968 the CRPA took on the additional responsibilities of insuring the freedoms and rights for all Californians pertaining to the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Those rights are most readily protected through action from CRPA members in their respective communities.

The focus of the CRPA Chapter program is to promote the single issue of the Second Amendment and the culture and rights that it is meant to protect. To create groups of dedicated individuals, business owners, ranges, trainers, and clubs of like-minded values to get involved in promoting firearm safety, promoting the mission of the CRPA, and protecting their 2A rights.

CRPA Chapters are groups of CRPA Members that coordinate efforts to promote the mission statement and goals of the CRPA at the local level while receiving direction from the Advocacy and Outreach Department located at CRPA Headquarters. CRPA Chapters have the ability to be diverse in operations, obtain feedback, and work where the local community needs work the most. CRPA Chapters can operate in political, educational, recreational, and conservation activities.

The CRPA Chapter Program focuses on supporting the mission statement and goals of CRPA by creating a network and coordinating the efforts of CRPA Chapters at the local and state level. This will be achieved through passion, teamwork, education, and communication.

                                Discussion seemed fairly one sided
Focusing more on accountability of the department
                                “Transparency” of the casualties
                                Treatment of inmates
No questions were answered in the chat or taken publically
All candidates seem anti 2A if you ask me but I do not know anything of Yesenia Sanchez
Joann Walker is from San Francisco and seems adamant to bring their strategies to Alameda
I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go back to red
