Something I just found out... News articles are a must. I got called by the sheriff's dep't and they requested news articles "justifying" my GC. The deputy did say my background check was good.

I am jealous of a friend. He called me to let me know he was approved... and in ONLY 3 WEEKS!!!!!!

Congrats! How long did it take from interview to letter? I'm only at 2 weeks past interview.

    Endless thanks for sure!
Only reason most of us have a CCW is because of them,
and at some point someone will owe them their life.

2nd appointment 3/12 just a day before the covid lock down (shorten letter, supplied required documents for my letter, paid fee, live scanned)

    Approval Letter in 80 days.

Refine your letter (short and direct) and supporting docs. Figure out which three you really want on the list, rule out others as needed. Wear at home while you wait for the first appointment, buy those fancy holsters and belts. See what works at home, carry it loaded, carry it +1. Get used to sitting in different chairs and going poo with it. I'd advise carry the largest gun on your narrowed down list, no one cares about printing at home. It will make the others seem like a breeze. Learn what type of clothes to wear with each gun. AIWB and separate mag for me in front of other hip...I can still use my zipper and don't have to flash the double pistols when taking a piss

Remember to take it off before you go anywhere out of the house
    .

If you have a gated backyard you may still be good last time I checked. Even if in a school zone. But I'm going from memory here.

One thing I've been doing is wearing the empty holster when leaving the house.

I wanted to post and continue posting with updates to let others know my experience.

Side question, I applied and chose to pay with cash at my appointment. You guys think that could affect the timeliness of this process or have little to no effect? I know to a lot of people paying online is just easier and faster, Its just my personnel preference to conduct business with cash. Let me know what you guys think.

When I filled out the Permitium application the only option was paying online.

I was also told that, but I never received a call to come earlier. The only call I got was about a month before my app't when I was instructed to put all my info in the Permitium. Then the corona panic happened and I was pushed back about 2 months. All-in-all it was about 9 months from my initial call until my actual app't. With the current backlog (remember, they're 2 months behind) I'd be surprised if you got called in early. If you're ex-military, the Arizona permit is extremely easy to get. Your DD214 satisfies the training requirement.

    Correct, it's an initial petition.

Gotta be. I did my renewal in about 3 weeks from the time I submitted everything into Permitium
