What everybody else said. Just create a new GC statement reformatted as necessary and upload to Permitium. For the doc type just use requested documentation or other.

Thank you for pointing that out but unfortunately, no way to do it. I'll just wait and see what happens and if they contact me in regards to it, will just kindly give them what it was supposed to say.

But hey, thanks again, really appreciated it...
I had to update my GC statement and I was told to upload the document. When I was in for my interview, we reviewed the entire application together and the clerk crossed out my old GC and wrote “refer to attachment”

At one point, I was told by SDCSO to fill out the application and then come back to add docs and such as I had them. That makes me think you can update at least some of the items, and I would expect the GC statement to be a simple/obvious one to update...

I tried to submit my renewal last month in February but it wouldn't let stating that reason of NOT being inside the 90-day window. So I'm guessing you have to be inside that window in order to have it submitted. Anyways, my permit expires May 28, 2021 so I'm now within the 90-day window and submitted my renewal just this past Friday March 5th.

My question/s is this...once you've submitted the renewal online, can you go back and edit it? The reason I ask is because in the GC Section where you type your Good Cause, the last paragraph didn't show. What I mean is, it's there, you can see literally only the "upper" portions of the letters themselves to the point you really can't tell what is being read...hope that makes sense. I didn't cram it all together so it can be read properly by blocking the paragraphs like you see here reading this, I guess is a better way to describe it.

Can that be undone and than properly formatted so it would be better able to read? The good cause is readable, just not the last paragraph where it basically says "I feel my needs for a CCW renewal is bla bla bla...." was not readable. Again, hope that makes sense.

My second question is, once submitted, can I still add another firearm, knowing it may delay getting my renewal BEFORE the expiration date?

Any help would be great, thanks in advance...

Went to my appointment this morning. Very friendly staff, there was no interview, the clerk just went over my application with me, took my prints and picture and basically said I will get my notice in 90 days, and probably not much sooner than 90. I applied in (I think) May 2020, had an appointment scheduled for December 2020 that was then rescheduled to today.

I got the email that my April 15th appointment is now scheduled for November 19th. So that will put me at a 19 month wait just for my first interview. I plan to retire in June 2024 in Idaho. I may move before the final piece of the puzzle is placed. Haha!

Have you called and spoken to them, and did they give you an explanation for any of the reschedules/cancellations?

This sounds like at least some of this was just getting caught up in the Covid/their new automated system mess. And that certainly sucks. But plenty of people have been issued new and renewed permits. Assuming there weren't any other reasons, I would definitely keep at it. There's no reason why you can't get a permit as long as your good cause is within the guidelines.

Make sure you're following the advice that SDCGO has put out and keep at it!

Never give up and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Mine took 11 months; called or appointment 9/19, original interview 4/20, rescheduled for 6/20, approved 7/20 and finally issued 8/20. Took 3 weeks from when I submitted my qual certificate until I could get a date for issuance.

Considering there was no option to even get one a few years ago - two years is still worth the wait.

Unfortunate that events of the last year have made everything related to personal protection scarce and more difficult to obtain. CCW permints included.
