Like when you're driving? Driving past a school?Leave a comment:

Also, constitutional carry can be a bit tricky. You’re not supposed to be carrying within a given distance of certain establishments; schools, etc. it’s better to have the permit than not, for reciprocity and just the ease of obtaining one as well.Leave a comment:

Keep in mind that you can do the AZ permit yourself once you get your San Diego permit. The class you take for San Diego is good for AZ. The cost for the AZ permit was whatever the application fee is, and I think I paid around $30 for a set of finger prints. Keep that in mind if someone wants to charge you an arm and a leg for the AZ permit.Leave a comment:

yes AZ is constitutional carry for both residents and non-residents iirc. the reason to get it (or Utah, or Florida etc) is for reciprocity which the CA ccw gives none. but i’m sure u already knew that.Leave a comment:

Ooooh that's a good idea, but isn't AZ constitutional carry?
Anyone else got a line on prices for training classes in southern San Diego?Leave a comment:

Just got a phone call from SDSD that I've been approved for my CCL and that I will be getting an official letter in the mail.
I live in Chula Vista, so is there anyone else in my area that took their training class somewhere relatively close.
I'm also looking for a moderately-priced class as well. Any info is appreciated.Leave a comment:

Attend in person interview, get prints, etc. yep took about 35 minutes of my day to get through the process
Wait for approval (90 days?) yep and they may call if there's an issue with your BG
Take certification course/shooting qual you can do the during your background
Submit/upload cert And pay the final issuance fee
Wait for license in mail and about a week later
I applied in mid June 2022, appointment date Dec 12 2022, 90 days up on March 12 2023. Due to my schedule I had my training on March 24 2023. took the instructor a week to get us our certs. I uploaded and paid March 30th 2023, I received my permit in the mail April 7 2023.
The interview is nothing more than an in person verification of your personal information. any changes of address or employment, things like that. All you need to bring is a Real ID or a Real ID DL if not you will need to bring supporting docs of proof of citizenship. The SO made the process very easy.
Kyle at DGM prints out your cert the same day.Leave a comment:

Well, got the interview done. I learned today that if you are a retired veteran, they want the MEMBER-4 copy of your DD214. A MEMBER-1 will not work, as it does not show character of service/honorable. I thought a retired ID would suffice.Leave a comment:
