I'm also looking for a moderately-priced class as well. Any info is appreciated.
Pricing is all basically the same. Initial class is going to run $200.
I drove to Temecula to take my class and I live in National city

I don't deal with DGM, they are one of the reasons I hate LGS

You can, with a CA CCW (CA honors no other state's CCW).

Anyone else got a line on prices for training classes in southern San Diego?
Prices seem to be pretty consistent across the board. You're looking at about $200 for the 8 hour class and $100 for the 4 hour renewal. I'll be surprised if you find anything much cheaper in the South SD area...but do let us know if you find anything that is significantly less.

Keep in mind that you can do the AZ permit yourself once you get your San Diego permit. The class you take for San Diego is good for AZ. The cost for the AZ permit was whatever the application fee is, and I think I paid around $30 for a set of finger prints. Keep that in mind if someone wants to charge you an arm and a leg for the AZ permit.

Submit/upload cert And pay the final issuance fee
Wait for license in mail and about a week later

I applied in mid June 2022, appointment date Dec 12 2022, 90 days up on March 12 2023. Due to my schedule I had my training on March 24 2023. took the instructor a week to get us our certs. I uploaded and paid March 30th 2023, I received my permit in the mail April 7 2023.

The interview is nothing more than an in person verification of your personal information. any changes of address or employment, things like that. All you need to bring is a Real ID or a Real ID DL if not you will need to bring supporting docs of proof of citizenship. The SO made the process very easy.
Who did you use for cert?

Kyle at DGM prints out your cert the same day.

Well, got the interview done. I learned today that if you are a retired veteran, they want the MEMBER-4 copy of your DD214. A MEMBER-1 will not work, as it does not show character of service/honorable. I thought a retired ID would suffice.
