That only helps if you offer discount reaming for repeat customers

Probably if I decide to go this route. I have access to a machine shop.. but just have a little more learning to do specific to reaming.

Let me know when you're ready. I don't want to soak up the cost of a 243 reamer by myself if I eventully go to a 6.5 of sorts. I may just sell the 6mm barrel and get a 6.5 barrel and a 260 reamer.

Isn't a reamer only about $200? I'll probably end up going this route.. but I need about 2 months for my funds to recover. I stocked up on crap this month:
          .338 Rock Barrel
          .338 Brass
          .338 Bullets
          .300 Bullets
          6.5 Bullets
          Browning Over-Under

And I'm sure I'm forgetting some things!

Chill guys, Ryan we wont have our stocks for awhile.

Remember Dtac reamer + Dtac bullets, possibly SMKS....

Don't you have to actually get something in your hands before you can decide you don't want it?

Reamer is pretty cheap. But add on the bushings and the range rod and it gets up there. If I have to go it alone, I may just get the 6.5x47 I've wanted...or 260...wait...

Don't forget headspace gauges for the 6.5x47
It won't work with 308 headspace gauges that you may already have.
                      That's a +1 for 243, 260 and 7-08.

I do have the ability to change my mind on a dime.

I got a few issues with the Surgeon action. No specs no stock. So that's on hold.

Broughten is getting sold though for sure. I'm taking Randy's advice and going with a Remington Varmint Countour 1:7.5 twist.

McMillan might go back on the burner if I can get that Surgeon action to fit on my HS stock. It's only 2 pounds lighter than my AICS stock. Something to consider.

So basically everything is on hold till I get the specs for the Surgeon action.

Headspace gauges are cheap compared to all the other stuff. The roughly 50-60 dollar difference isn't a concern. My big question is do I really need Lapua brass? If not, the 260 is where its at.

Is there anyway to lighten up an AICS? I mean milling the stock out, and still obtain the structural integrity?

What specs are you looking for?
                                Concentricity?
Bolt bore to bolt body clearance?
                                Thread pitch diameter?

What difference does any of that make if it's done "right"?
