How do you delete a thread that you start?

If i start a thread... how do you delete it if the info on it is wrong.. or its just irrelevant?

You can't. Only mods.

You can however change the title, and edit your original post to say something like:

"Deleted. Wrong info sorry!" Or something like that.

Edit your initial post, then choose go advanced and edit the title, and the post itself.



Edit: IIRC if someone already quoted your initial post, that quote will remain in their post.

That's right, only the moderators can delete a thread. The best thing to do is go back and edit the first post in the thread. Click the "Go Advanced" button. Just change the title of the thread to "please delete", or something to that effect. That's it, mods will do the rest or just let it die by letting it fall back into oblivion.
