    Another new member, San Diego!

Hey everyone, I am very new to the forums (never once heard about it till I really got into guns recently), but expect to be quite active.

I will be 21 at the end of this month, and grew up around an large array of legal (and illegal in California) firearms, but never knew jack about how to use them. However, since moving to San Diego in 2009 for school and the growing interest I've had for government work, I have taken the initiative to shoot at the range more, read more, learn more about gun rights, and also managed to inherit a Remington Model 582 from my father.

I am quite excited, as I have learned a lot in recent weeks, and am eager to learn a lot more and hope to do so through you lot.

At the moment I am hoping to either inherit a handgun from my father, or make a purchase of my own. That will be my next step in growing as a responsible gun owner, and perhaps I will be able to shoot alongside you someday.

I have attached pictures of my first baby for you all to enjoy:

EDIT: I originally had the img tags on the pictures, but they were in a huge resolution, so I just provided the links. Sorry!

Welcome to Calguns. The Remington 582 is a great start, everyone should have a .22 in their collection.

I've shot this rifle once when I was younger and absolutely loved it. I haven't yet gotten a chance to take it anywhere since I got back into San Diego, but will hopefully do so soon!

Ahaha I've already spent too much money on ammunition that I probably won't get to shoot for a while. But hey! I'm originally from San Jose!

CalGuns Network (CGN) is different from CalGuns Foundation (CGF). Both need our support. I have gold name because I support CGN; plus, I send $10 every two weeks to CGF automatically via online BillPay as described here.

Support CGF by shopping at Amazon!
