my dad turned me on this form. love it. tons of info and look like good deals on guns also. looking to expand my gun collection. took my kids shooting for the first time they are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. they loved it. they shot a pump .177 pellet pistol. my daughter 5 1/2 did fire two round out of a ruger 22 pistol.

hey everyone a FNG here from the east bay near oakland.. just joined up a few weeks ago since im finally getting back into my 2nd amendment rights habit... had a few guns while i was a kid from my uncle.....

im fairly new to this forum and the abbreviations i keep seeing are popping up constantly..

I am wondering what the heck *SPF* means... and a few other main abbreviations to help me on my way.. thanks guys!!!

I just recently found out about this site, and have had delusions of building my own .556 for years now, but being the El Cheapo that I am, I don't want to waste a cent. Many of the people I know that have AR's have acknowledged spending far more than necessary. I only know one true member of the "gun culture" to ask all my questions of, but he's usually traveling for work and unavailable, and I need somebody to confirm (or deny) claims made by the shop I go to for answers. I spent the first 20 years of my adult life buying El Cheapo guns and I need to bury that approach with a quality .556. I'm looking forward to using this site, and the occasional question, to help me do just that. I would like to build three quality, battle-ready .556's over the next ten years.
