The military moved me to CA a few months ago and I found this site while trying to figure out the CA gun laws. This is a great resource, so thought I'd throw my hat in the ring. Thanks for all the great information and I look forward to putting in my 2 cents every now and then.

Hey yall,

The Marine Corps moved me to San Diego back in '02 I was there for 4 years, moved to VA and I'll be getting out and I'll be on my way back to San Diego in June '10. I currently only have a 12ga and a .22 rifle, I've been waiting to move out there before I go hog-wild buying guns. Cali is real anal about some guns (ex: XDm).

I am a new member and wanted say hello. Located up in the high desert of Ridgecrest/China Lake. Getting back into guns after a 7 year hiatus after I left the military. Just ordered a Savage MarkII FV in 22lr and looking to punch holes in some paper see what happens. I have already received alot of help directly and indirectly already through the sight and wanted to formally say thanks. What a great resource.

Hey everyone!

New member here but not new to the shooting world. I used to shoot a few times a week but I've been doing other things lately. Anyway, a motorcycle accident caused me to look at other things to do so while I'm unable to ride I figured I'd take up shooting again.

I should have never left. Shooting is such a blast. Too bad ammo is hard to find now. Good thing I used to reload and still have lots of components left.

how's it going everyone, I'm a noob to this site, been shooting for about 20 yrs. now. Recently lost my brother to cancer and was online looking for answers for gun transfers and came up onto this site( and now i am a member). Can anyone direct me or answer what or how do I transfer my brothers guns into my name( he is deceased)and I dont know if I can find paperwork on the guns( colt .44, browning 12g, springfield 1911 .45, preban colt ar 15) Am I SOL? -Thanks-

Hello everyone, new to this site, so I am still trying to familiarize with it.Been shooting for about 20yrs. now.Recently lost my brother to cancer and was searching the web for answers on transfering guns, and here I am.Can anyone direct me to where I can find information on how I can transfer my brother's gun's into mine( if possibly that I cant find documentation for them).He owned a Colt .44, Browning 12g,Springfield Armory 1911 .45, Colt Sporter AR-15 pre-ban. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
