Hey there I was wondering if this forum still works with tapatalk app still? Once the forum was migrated I haven't been able to access on tapatalk. Could anyone provide a guide on how to use the forum there if it still works? Just not sure why I wouldn't be able to find it if it's still a forum type website. Any advice would be helpful. Also I can't find any of my messages there.

Good morning All,
Thank you for accepting me in! My name is Gabriel and I currently live in San Diego but have lived up and down the coast of California my whole life. I’m new to building guns and would like to build my own down the road. I’m trying to integrate myself more and learn as much as possible. Thank you once again!Comment

You may notice the forum is having issues with a recent updates in software. There are several threads on the subject so be patient. A lot of good info here and members that are willing to help.
Best of luck.

It depends on how one defines "recent updates" given that many assume work continues to be ongoing and we have seen improvements.
But, let's not turn this into a thread about the 'problems' and what say we keep it a 'welcoming' thread for people such as gg506762.
Speaking of which... Welcome gg506762
As noted, there are some on-going issues with the update to the site's software last year, so don't get too frustrated if everything doesn't work 100% of the time at your convenience. If one is persistent, the site works 'most' of the time, has tended toward getting better as work, presumably, continues, and most of us can still post most days.Comment

I prefer to be honest, and candid. Nothing about it is recent. Fact.
You can assume all you want, blow wishes on falling stars, crossyour fingers, and make love to your rabbit's foot - but 'tis clear the the sustained and repeat same issues with errors and Gateway 504s continues, and assuming is purely a silly game you play.
Oh, and welcome to Calguns.

Do you get dizzy from all that spinning?

Start a new thread. It can join the dozens of others where some say nothing is happening and others point to things that have have happened and/or are happening. But, let's not turn this thread into yet another I'm gonna complain and I'm gonna let everyone know I'm not happy piece.
That would be more than spinning. In your own words... 'dozens of others' says it all. There's a reason for that, and some are a year or older.
Speaking of 'recent' - I could just direct any newcomers to this one, which has been running since October 2024:
Calguns has gone from being the premier Calif gun site with so many incredible guys, who have many years of knowledge and are a phenomenal resource. Now I'm lucky to log on in 10 tries, then it takes a minute to load a page, but most often I get a 504 error. Is it lack of money or is it a crappy server or do the owners of CGN
