Hi everyone. Been to the range a lot, and I've been itching to get a handgun and rifle. Really want a 9mm, thinking... about a Glock to plink around and get better. For a rifle I've had a huge hard on for AK's since ever. With that, just going to be keep researching and learning more stuff!

Hello, I've read lots of posts before here but signed up specifically cause I had a question I was hoping i could get helped with. Hey everyone, new to calguns.

Can anyone direct me to the northbay 707 thread? Every time I do a search for "707 thread/page site: calguns.net", it takes me to the seven-hundredth-and-seven page of posts (aka, OLD threads).
EDIT: I found the 707 thread! It's called "707 sonoma county banter" in the Off-Topic section (in case anyone else is looking)

I'm looking for info on applying for CCW... if it's a good time, if we need to wait for some legal ruling (I keep up on the legal stuff as best I can, but I don't always have the time), what pitfalls to avoid, etc.

I'm also very interested in attending a shooting event! I was recently told the Ukiah gun club does IDPA, and that looks like a good starting point for me.
