I think they last forever I had an infraction on another gun site it was years ago and does not go away. I was kind of pissed, me and the mod talked about it he was cool and now I understand but it still stays. It was a misunderstanding, whatever. Wasn't even a thread crap I was trying to help another member from getting scammed from a known scammer.

I get offended when I'm disrespected or talked down to or threatened on the internet just the same as to my face. Many people post things and do things on internet they would never dare do in person to random people.

Infractions thing is annoying but no big deal. Some people do take them extremely personal.

I'm with you on that. I've gotten a ban and an infraction. Mostly for colorful language and skirting the bad word filter. Not sure what the **** they are talking about. My use of grammar is ****ing outstanding.

I got one for being "RUDE" to some jackass that posted his WTS ad in the reloading forum. It is expired now but I see them as battle scars! Yeah I was pissed that I got one, but Only for about 1/10000th of a second because stop and think about the way the mods WERE around here. And with Kestryl's rules, there does NOT have to be a warning, YOU should know the rules therefore YOU should know what you can and cannot say. So you spout off a bit much one night and next you know you are BANNED for 10 days or longer. Well, now instead of that, you just get an infraction. Maybe worse depending on what you say/do.

That is just what I have noticed. When it comes down to it, it is Kestryl's site so he can do what he wants. Yeah and all that. So be thankful that the infractions started being used because else it could mean a BAN and then you gotta start a whole new account and try to be nice and rebuild everything... So anyways, I am glad that they are being used. It let's me know if I go a little to far and offend some thin skinned fool...

If you start a new account and get caught, you will be banned again. We catch people all the time that do this. It is a good way to turn a temp ban into a permaban
