Forum Speed...

So I know there has been threads about the speed of the Calguns Forum.

Has anything been done? Can anything be done?

I'm not an expert but you would think something could be done?

Yeah, assuming CG is hosted by an Internet service provider network ISP and you are not running your own servers. I think you should have them provide a report on both network and server performance. You may need to throw more hardware and bandwidth at the problem.

It might seem anomalous because of the current interest in the 2A issues, but I don't see interest in 2A on CG declining anytime soon.

There are other Forums that have experienced the same influx of users but they seem to be running fine.

I really like CG but it's been painfully slow.

It's been like this since way before November. But it's only getting slower and slower. The past few days there are times I don't even log-in because the forum won't load.

I think this problem needs to be seriously addressed because it's not going away and it's only getting worse.

If money is the issue, ask for donations. Give us a number. It does absolutely nothing for CGN or combating anti-gun laws if the website won't function.

Hosted server issues in regards to max utilization, as has been mentioned in the past by Kest.

Yet as we all know, that is resolvable. However either the hosting service architecture is at issue or perhaps they are asking for more cash to do anything. Heck if I know...

It has been horrible lately. At times utterly unusable as the 'connecting' icon just spins indefinitely. This is on FIOS with 25mb pipe.
