I've PM'd Kestryll on this, asking his opinion and blessing. I haven't heard back yet, but he's a busy guy.
Thanks to all of you for supporting the idea. I think it will benefit all of us in NorCal.WHAT I HAVE LEARNED SO FAR, MOSTLY THE HARD WAY

I have the opposite problem: see all sorts of cool stuff and then disappointed to see it's all in NorCal.Comment

This is a new and fresh idea.Comment

This argument has been brought up before. Simply create a Nor-Cal / So- Cal area for sales. ( Cut stat in half from Fresno to Salinas, aforementioned being considered Southern most of the North)
Great idea, but perhaps our MODS have a good reason they have not done this?

No its not ...
Not trying to be rude but it isn't a new idea this has literally been beat to death do a search
Creating more sub forums may make things easier on some members but it just creates more work for the mods to regulate and deal with instead of being where they are needed more which makes everything harder on them which in turn makes it harder / worse for all members of this forum as a whole all just because you don't want to take the time to sift through posts that aren't in your area or field your searches to your specific area / location since there are already checks and balances in place even more so when its already hard enough directing new members to post in the right section anyhow so having more sections is just going to add to said confusion . Having / adding more sub sections isn't going make the rifle or item you want appear you'll just be able to find out your SOL in your area quicker and what fun is that since isn't it really about the thrill of the hunt anyhow

People don't read the rules now, they probably wouldn't use that one either. :\Comment

Good idea, but I read HatersLOVEme
post and point well taken.
Most of the firearms I would buy are in San Diego and the few I would be interested in the Bay Area get swooped on fast, but when it does go my way the hunt is as worth it as the purchase itself.Comment

Perhaps we can require all ads to include the seller's ZIP code in a specific, searchable field. This, coupled with a ZIP code range search, would allow all of us to see as much or as little as we want.
As I'm located near a proposed boundary, the North vs. South designation wouldn't help me much at all. I'm usually looking for offers within a one-hour driving radius, which would have me on both side of the N/S line.Comment
