iTrader is gone. We were all warned about it before the switch. Many screen captured their feedback and posted links. There is a Private User feedback forum in the marketplace to use in lieu of iTrader.

If you're only just now realizing it's gone, that's a good measure that it wasn't all that important in the first place.

I could barely log on to the old forum and missed those instructions along with many others. itrader is not a deal breaker in effectively selling and buying (the search function is most important), but I relied on it heavily and I think strong trader scores gave confidence between members to have transactions proceed smoothly.

the bad thing is the new people buying something from you.
Hell over 20 years on same forum should speak for it's self. Guess Not.

In this case iTrader was a VB3 kinda thing (an addon). VB did not carry over iTrader to the newer versions. This, in part, contributed to the long delay to upgrade in the first place.

But, you're right, this has been a very rocky road. CG will get there eventually.

There is a feedback forum to use in lieu of iTrader. Those that heeded the warning of the impending loss, created snapshots of their feedback and now link it in their sigs and listings.

Of all the things that Calguns no longer has or is, losing iTrader is one of the lowest concerns.

It would just be nice to see Calguns working as well as it did 6 years ago again.

Instead, unless a better system is found, we will be doing this in-house.

If you'd like to receive feedback and ratings from the people you buy from and sell to start a SINGLE thread with your username as the title.
Prior to the software upgrade I would suggest taking a screen shot of your iTrader rating and posting it in the initial post of your thread.

If you'd like to leave a rating or give feedback on the people you buy from and sell to either search for their screen name or ask them for a link to their feedback thread and then post your rating/feedback there.

It may make it easier on both parties if sellers were to add a link to their individual feedback thread to their profile signature.

I don't know how folks could not know that iTrader would not be here in VB6; trying to keep it delayed the update for years. It was discussed a lot.

iTrader was a 3rd party add on for VB3, and was never ported up to VB5-6.

Remember, iTrader was actually the priority which kept us on the 'outdated' software for so long...

As of right now there is no built in feedback system in vB 6.X
I have put in a request with the vB Development Team to have one implemented.

iTrader was the single reason we stayed with vB 3.8 for over a decade after EOL but eventually the PHP and MySQL version differences made it impossible to continue.

Also, from May 2024...

The Admin, that would be me, ran numerous Trial versions of both vBulletin and Xenforo looking at the various features, similarities and differences.
If you think there's a learning curve with vB6 you would definitely not have liked Xenforo.


Yes there are some changes and a few features that are either brand new or simply gone.
I don't like some of it either but that's what happens when you stay on software that was written 20 years ago and went EOL over 8 years ago.

With that said, bear in mind that the upgrade to the software wasn't a choice made by Kestryll, but one forced on him as a result of the original host going out of business and the new host site 'demanding' the upgrade.
