    SHTF/prepper forum ??

With the growing climate of uncertainty surrounding our state, our country, and or world, there seams to be a LARGE 'movement' of preppers and or SHTF types survivalists - every forum constantly seams new threads about SHTF or HD, survival "what if" and it seams like we need a central place to discuss this in a lighthearted, yet serious/mature manner

somewhere we can discuss new skills, like how to make ethanol, storing water, food/canning and similar survival skills

as well as a place to discuss what if scenarios like WROL and ZED stuff (if nothing else, just to keep them out of other forums. I know for one, i would be very active in this forum. and I think it's a great place for like minded folks to talk about this subject without the berating of other members that might not want to talk or hear about it in the centerfire or general gun forum.

I already know about those forums

NONE of them are California specific, NONE of them offer camaraderie on a scale like CALGUNS does.

          Survivalist boards!!

And Jfountain2 if you see this... Pacifico23 runs that place just with a diff name. Jfountain2 is my arch enemies of all time when it comes to mods.... Kev the original creator is cool people. So it the main posters like the shadow, rokitman, name, vectorwomen, cowboy56, Funeral, many more. Great info, one of THE BEST political debate sites in my opinion too. Have a lot of prepped knowledge and many websites give you discounts for being a member there.

          Darn you jfountain2...

ZombieHunters had a California chapter, but they recently turned into a Nor Cal/SF bay area chapter. So Cal chapter is pending. They have good info, but I feel out of place there and don't post.

I'd like to find local "SHTF preppers", but I don't know of any CA specific websites dealing with the topic either.

did you miss this Calguns forum? Outdoors, Camping and Survival ... or are you asking to remove the outdoors and camping from the title?

maybe it should be 'Outdoors, Camping and Zombie defense'?

                  'cause I'm down for that

I thought the CGN Outdoor forum was already a defacto prepper forum.

Part of this prepper mentality is networking would be nice to meet local people that is in this "new" philosophy of life.

being guns (security) just one small factor in this equation would be interesting to have a Prepper forum where just local people can find each other and find more about the would be friends are they real preppers or just gun nuts.
