There are 58 counties in CA so there are 58 sheriffs’ elections this year. I’d guess in most of them incumbents are running unopposed. But that still leaves a lot contested. How to keep the elections forum from becoming a total mess over the coming months?
I suggest that there be one thread per contested county. Each time a member starts a thread about a race, Mods step in and standardize its OP and title. Right now there is a multi page thread re LA with a poor title (re Villanueva) and now someone started a new thread about a challenger. Best to avoid parallel discussions in multiple threads.
Moderators need to step up and clean up.
