Question about protocol when removing an AD from a discussion forum.

This is aimed at Mods or anyone who knows the process.

When you remove a WTS/WTB/WTT AD from a discussion forum, like, say move it from reloading into the marketplace, does the OP get notified of their error and warned or something?

    Thanks.

    Depends.

When I do it, I send a PM.

But I delete them, not move them.

Ads started in the For Sale sections are set up with a template, with 'reminders' of the required info; posts started in other forums don't get the template, and frequently are missing some or many of the elements.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Oh okay. That is nice to know that you at least PM them. Because I have reported many an ad in the discussion forum, and I would THINK that they would be notified when they post in the wrong locations, but I don't wanna assume anything. Recently people have posted more ads in the reloading forum and Whomever it is, is usually on the ball and quick to move the ads, but I am left wondering if they just got moved or if they were warned as well. I do not plan on being on the receiving end of an ad move so I thought I would ask just to be safe.

      Thanks Librarian.

I move a lot of them from the reloading section also. I move them, clean up your infomercial/fun fact stuff, then send the OP a heads up about posting there.

YOU! Hehe. Did Kestryll hold like a big meeting or something and ask for folks to respond faster or make things a priority when it comes to reported posts?

I mean, I do not want to call it a coincidence that things seem to have gotten much faster in getting taken care of like, RIGHT after the new year. I would like to think that there was a Super G10 summit held at Groepsaccommadatie in Amsterdam and all of the Calguns.net mods were flown in on someone's G5 and after 3 days of discussing things came to some conclusions, made some changes and then headed down to the The Wauw Shop and had a smoke or two...

The MOD's are faster because their is not much going on here on CG.

Only 1300 members logged on as i post this.

In the past I have seen 5 or 6 times that number
