I like the new start page.
At first it wasn't really all that positive for me, but thanks to the recent topics feature, I came across a really cool posting in a forum I'd never normally go to. I then learned a couple of things and am having an interesting PM discussion with TRAP55 who I'd have never have 'met' on the other forums I tend to absorb every day.
Heck, if I were to make one change I'd say make the recent threads section LONGER! :-)
