I like it.

I left another suggestion on a post back in Dec about the organization- disregard if that is overcome by reality ... I'm a newb here, and dont browse the whole site, so my viewpoint/value is limited- just my $.02

but I support anything that simplifies the mods' lives and simplifies the "look" especially for tapatalk and mobile screens.
And if that simplification on ads also generates more page views for advertisers and other revenue support...I am fine with that too.
I think most older users are getting hip to how to block popups and tracking, dump cookies-either built into browser using IE10, or add ons in Firefox.
(Ad Block+, Ghostery, Do Not Track, NoScript)

This is getting big enough that its got to be run like a business, right- efficiency, etc.
Plus the more "blog" like format for the younger readers is familiar, and draws them in, vs the complexity of the bb format- how many under 25 have seen that, except in other gun sites. Looks like its fading away, actually.

not sure what you mean. before, I would go to www.calguns.net and have to hit the link to go to the forum and then hit the link to go to new posts. so that would be two clicks.

now, if I go to www.calguns.net, I can immediately hit the new posts link, one click. less clicks than before, not extra.

where are you trying to go that requires extra clicks?

and in actuality, I don't even go to the home page, my bookmark takes me directly to the new post so I don't have to click anything other than the bookmark.

Yes it did, I got tired of the simple html page and installed the vBAdvanced CMS and cleaned up the links and such.

It's not fantastic or anything but it's a lot better than the old static page.

We've seen a few people having that issue, clear your browser cache and it should be fine.

I'm fine with it on my laptop. But it is a cluster of unpleasantness visually on my Android device. And no, I don't use tapatalk. I prefer looking at my stuff without adding extra stuff. Just saying.
