Cancel recurring payment

I’ve enjoyed being a member here, but no longer want to be automatically charged. I want to change to annual and have the option of continuing or not. I’ve sent messages to CGN, no reply. I sent a message to kes and librarian and hope they will help.

My Annual Contributorship expired on 1/22/25. Back before Christmas I sent a paper check to Kes, but the letter was returned saying the PO box was abandoned (I have always paid by check because I won't use PayPal). I sent a PM to Kes before the expiry but have yet to receive any response.

I hope your experience is better.

Have you tried to cancel your subscription from your settings page?

I've always renewed but left my subscription as non-recurring. Last time I checked on the "cancellation" button it said my membership would continues until expiration. Now it says something different. I did not continue as mine will expire in May.

Ikeo (the one so many people here seem to hate with such passion for some unintelligable reason) posted a great step by step on how to get paypal to cancel. I had to do that as Kestryll refused to respond to any other form of communication.

I still hope that it's fixed someday sooner than later and I can start paying in again, but it's multiple YEARS now that the site has had massive problems. I don't have any interest in paying into neglect and apathy. I do not think Kes did or is doing anything malicious but... if he doesn't care enough to fix it, I don't care enough to pay for the shards of what's left of it.

I’ve now been charged twice in 2 days for subscription even though I cancelled it. Clearly shows I don’t have a subscription when I go to that page. He doesn’t respond either so reporting fraudulent charges seems to be what you have to do.
