On the old platform, if a poster I have on ignore posted, I could see that he posted, and could click to see the post. On the new platform it doesn't even show that they posted. Can I set it to behave like the old one?

Yeah, why would you want to see posts from someone you have on ignore?
Isn't the reason for ignore, to forever block all their posts from view?

Kind of reminds me like when people say "I'm leaving this site for good, good bye!!1!!1!!1!!! and then they stick around to read all the replies. lol
Gone means gone.

Anyhow, I don't see that option in user settings, it's likely an admin setting if it still exists in the new software.

I don't ignore anyone. If I don't want to read someone's chit, I just scroll past their garble.

I actually don't see the "ignore" function any longer on Calguns. I suspect this forum doesn't have it; Calguns opted to not have it; or I just don't know how to operate on Calguns anymore.

The traffic is way down compared to the old platform. The new owners may have cut their own throats.

The Admin, that would be me, ran numerous Trial versions of both vBulletin and Xenforo looking at the various features, similarities and differences.
If you think there's a learning curve with vB6 you would definitely not have liked Xenforo.


Yes there are some changes and a few features that are either brand new or simply gone.
I don't like some of it either but that's what happens when you stay on software that was written 20 years ago and went EOL over 8 years ago.
