I get the ?thank you for logging in? screen, then a few seconds later it goes back to the log in page, and I am not logged in.

I am able to post now because on my phone I do not log out.

    Anyone else having this problem?
This has been a recurring issue for me using Firefox browser.

Today I discovered that if I log in and find myself returned to the login screen, a simple refresh of the browser fixes the issue - the refreshed viewer shows me as logged in.

Hoping this helps people trying to log in, and with the debugging process.

      In other site migration news...

Seems as if the quotation mark, the plural mark and perhaps the comma as well create transmutations to the question mark...

After you (successfully) log in the server is not refreshing the page that you logged in from -- hence it APPEARS that the log in failed.

The (temporary) solution is to just MANUALLY REFRESH THE PAGE AFTER YOU'VE LOGGED IN (press F5 on a PC). Then it will show the correct login status.

My hunch is that the boss added a new page caching system a few days ago (when things got dramatically faster), but it's not playing nice with logins.

P.S. It's also super annoying that the system logs you out after just 20 minutes of inactivity. So, be prepared to do this login drill often.

OK, there is now a sticky on my computer that says press F5. Hope that works. Glad we have some members who are geeks.

              I say, and again.

There is no punctuation for 'plural'. Apostrophes are for possessives.

I'm having similar issues when attempting to use an N-dash... it shows up as a question mark. I tried an N-dash one in my last post (here), but it came out as a question mark. So I switched to R-dashes.

For clarity, a short (regular) dash is called an R-dash. The next longer one is called a N-dash, and the longest one is called an M-dash.

                Testing
                R-dash: -
                N-dash: ?
                M-dash: ?

EDIT: Interesting! They looked normal when I hit "Preview" on this post, but turned into question marks when I posted.

Hitting the back button in a thread returns to the top of the previous page rather than the spot on the index page where you clicked the thread. Previously you were returned to the original spot.

                    Database Error Issue

"Data Base Error" appears each time I try to make a new posting. Each day my new post does not appear. My previous post appears repeatedly each day. "The Data Base Error" notification appears every single time I tried to make a new post. I followed their suggestions and still I cannot make any new postings. Thanks again for all your help.

d'oh! And I kinda knew that...

And to think of the times I've accused others of apostrophe abuse!

I see it in posts made before the server change, mostly.
