Answer: generally, because Calguns runs an old version of Vbulletin, and itrader is an add-on to that.

Last I heard, one of the reasons we're still at this level is the desire to retain the itrader history; IIRC, itrader does not exist for Vbulletin 4.x ? No, it seems to exist - https://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=232044 - but last update seems to have been 2012.

ETA See Kestryll's post http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...6&postcount=28 in the Forum Software thread in this forum.

ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Trying to leave itrader feedback - FAQ - remove "s" from httpS:

I'm trying to leave positive feedback for a member. I keep getting the error message that the url is not valid. I know it is. What am I doing wrong?

It's something to do with the http in the link; either doesn't doesn't have an "s" and needs it, or it has an "s" and it shouldn't have it. Can't remember which way.

That's it. I don't get it but that solved the problem. The url I copied had the "s" and once I deleted it, it went through.

                  Thanks

No offense intended, but it’s amazing how many here can’t figure this out.

This is an example of a problem that is super easy to resolve ... only if you've seen the solution.

It's like the announcers on the poker tournaments bashing a player for a stupid move that is only stupid if you know what cards everyone else has.
