    Ruger AR-556

With the announcement of the new Ruger AR-556, I'm wondering when we will be able to purchase it (with the CA mods of course)?

    Thanks.

We're placing orders. It might be later this month or maybe November. It depends on where our orders fall in line but hopefully it can be that fast.

This will definitely be my next AR. As long as the price stays around $600.

For my clarification, bullet button installed? Is Turner taking deposit on it?

i believe Turners is already selling these. I saw some layaway paperwork on the Ruger 556 and if my eyes werent decieving me i believe it said 699.99 could be wrong on price but i know it was a ruger 556. this was the one in El Cajon.

we never had the problems in CA till the whiteys took over. We used to hunt, fish, roam, then they showed up and wanted to be civilized.............Ruined it for everyone!

Turner's is selling them for $729. That's some price gouging if you ask me. Street price is quoted by gun publications as being around $599-$600

              Yes on bullet button.

We're selling rifles as fast as we are getting them so depending on how many we get in a shipment you could get one that we have in store/warehouse or your order would be treated like a deposit until the next shipment comes in.

We've seen this guesstimate this a couple of times since the gun came out.

We're sorry but we don't/can't line up our retail pricing based on what writers think or suggest what dealers might or should sell guns for. Usually they line it fairly close, even with CA mods, but this one is a ways off the mark for most dealers.

Well then take your money elsewhere. If they want to sell at $1,000 don't they have a right to?

Of course they have the right. I also have the right to spend my money elsewhere.

Taking advantage of people just isn't my thing. It's like when people were selling 20 and 30 round PMAGS for $100 and guns and ammo for outrageous amounts during the Sandy Hook craze in 2012. Just because they can do it, doesn't make it right.

30 round PMAGS for $100?!? Last time I checked those weren't legal in CA and I don't remember anyone selling them. What I do remember was Turners not inflating the prices on any black guns or ammo during the SH fiasco. $730 sounds fair for the Ruger. If you want a $600 AR, buy a DPMS!

What does 30 round PMAGS being illegal in CA have to do with anything? I was simply pointing out products being sold at inflated prices to take advantage of fellow shooters.

To sell the Ruger AR-556 for $729 when the MSRP is $749, just doesn't add up. They know they're the only shop in town that has them right now.

As soon as more shops get them, watch the price drop to the estimated street price of $599-$650

BTW, I already have an AR and it's not a DPMS. Good lookin' out though.
