M&P 9 availability

Hi,

I put a deposit down on an M&P 9 about 3 weeks ago and haven't gotten a call letting me know they are in so I am assuming we are still waiting for them to arrive.

Any idea on a lead time?

Also what about M&P 9 shields? I am contemplating putting a deposit down on one as well but am curious about potential lead times since the expiration date is approaching.

I'm in the same boat, Ordered a SW M&P 9 3 weeks ago. The sales person at the Rancho store said 2-8 weeks.
Good luck getting a straight answer I already emailed Rob about lead time and chances of my order being filled, his response was my order would be filled before it falls off the roster in August.
Emailed Smith and Wesson and they where very vague and non descript on their email response to me. (took 5 days to respond) They did say they were not back ordered on the gun but they weren't taking any more orders on this model from CA retailers.

The full size MP9 came in last week. I put down a deposit on 2/27 and I got a call from my Turners on Thursday (3/20) to come in to start DROS. They said they have over 300 deposits but only received 200 pistols for all the stores to share. They also mentioned they have placed another order and it should arrive before it falls off roster. I would suggest you go in person and inquire about it. maybe youll get lucky and someone changed their mind and they will let you start DROS. Good luck

I had heard that those came in. That was nice to hear.

Went in yesterday to put a deposit down on a Shield 9mm. They had 237 deposits and were not taking any more. They are expecting a shipment this week sometime large enough "according to the rep" to be able to fill all deposits and then have some left over.

I put a deposit down almost 2 months ago. Went and dros'd mine over the weekend. Was also told that not everyone who had a deposit was getting one this go around.

Well they reopened deposits for the M&P 9 Shield today. Go mine placed

Must mean they have a good idea of the quantity coming in as they had 237 deposits yesterday. M&P Shields shipped last week according to the VP.

We received 9MM and 40S&W M&P's late last week and are filling deposits in "first date sold/first date filled" order.

And yes S&W shipped our first order of Shields. We have multiple shipments stacked behind that; hopefully S&W will keep them coming.

They are not physically in the warehouse yet; should be any day this week. S&W tells us that they just send another batch on the way as well.

That's good news! Do the stores have display models already available, or do they also have to wait for the shipments? I've not held one in my hands yet and wanted to see how it fits and feels.
