(And contrary to what's printed on any of the metal cans- none of this is Tracer or AP!)

Just picked up a can today at the Torrance Turner's. Out of 270 rounds 77 of were steel core. That's 30% of the can that I can't use at Burro. Maybe I should bring a magnet to the store with me to check next time.

were they PS or KA stamped?

There were a mixture of both PS and KA as well as ones that weren't marked at all on the outside of the cans. All of the rounds inside were stamped KA but some of them were steel core.
