I'm going to be purchasing a handgun you have on oyour weekly ad tomorrow.

how much are the fees? My buddy told me today that you charge more for DROS than others. I thought it was a set price.

What fees can I charge in addition to the DROS?
In addition to the State's $19.00 DROS fee, you must also charge a $1.00 Firearms Safety Testing fee and a $5.00 Safety and Enforcement fee. If the transaction being processed is a dealer sale, consignment return, or return from pawn, you may impose other charges as long as this amount is clearly shown as a "dealer fee" and not misrepresented as a State fee.

Turner's has a $5.00 dealer fee in addtion to the state fees above.

There's rumor they will remove this $5.00 fee for CG members in the future...

I don't want to get blindsided with an extra 30-40 "fee" stuffed in there and will already ready be drooling over the gun.

They charge tax on that $5.00 handling fee. So add another $.38 to $.44 to your total (depending on local sales tax rate).

it's the nickle and diming us is what makes them rich. *sigh* oh well.

I'm sure the state needs every penny to fill the $16B hole...

One FFL dealer said the state collected so much money from the fees to fund the DROS system that there were talk about reducing them but I doubt it'd happens...

You don't need to pay the whole amount up front, just 30% to get the DROS started.
