Fingers crossed Ruger Days starts this Friday and .22 SP101s are $499. I'll be there Friday after work if so. We'll know tomorrow when the flyer comes out.

Come on Ruger days!

Looking at the ad just released, those prices look pretty normal to me for the most part.
Normal for sale prices I mean. I expected maybe heavier discounting since its Ruger days and all.Originally posted by Rhythm of LifeBuy the cow and shove a keg up its ***, like beer butt chicken but better.

I was waiting to see pricing on the 22/45, but at that price I'll buy used. I've passed up a few sub $250 deals in the marketplace waiting to see Ruger Days pricing.Originally posted by Rhythm of LifeBuy the cow and shove a keg up its ***, like beer butt chicken but better.

I'll pass on the .22 SP101 at that price. I'll either wait until supply meets demand and it sells for less at Turners or buy/order from somewhere that can order it for less now.Comment

We do Ruger Days about twice a year. It's correct that these prices are generally similar if not the same as weekly sale prices.
The biggest difference during Ruger Days is that every Ruger is on sale, not just 10/22's, or LCR's or GP-100's or the other guns you see monthly in the weekly ads. We rarely would have enough Alaskan's, SASS Vaquero's, Mini-14 6.8mm, etc. to run on ad but those guns are on sale during Ruger Days.
And yes, we can't compete with out-of-state internet folks outside of CA. Nobody buys direct from Ruger except for distributors- there isn't a Ruger dealer program- not for us, not for them. Out-of-state warehouses like the one listed above just run on far less margins than most any shop doing business in CA. Any CA shop that tries to match them will find it hard to keep it up for the next five years, let alone try to stay in the gun business for 40+ years. And by gun business, we mean handguns, too, not just long guns like the 'Mart folks or the tennis shoe guys.
We appreciate the fact that finding a bargain is a great thing and we are not offended by your feedback regarding pricing. As always, we'll work on the things we can and keep supporting the CGN community with great specials and by supporting things dear to both of us like Project Appleseed, Sunshine Initiative, CRPA efforts, etc.Last edited by Turner's Outdoorsman; 10-06-2011, 5:23 PM.sigpic

I won't be ordering from Bud's or doing an out of state transfer. I'll either wait until supply kicks in and Turners can sell it for less or see if another local gun store can sell it for less. I'm sure I'll have to wait for supply to catch up to demand and prices to lower.Comment
